About Forestle
Forestle is an
independent nonprofit website. All profit generated by Forestle goes to the "Adopt an Acre" program of
The Nature Conservancy, which uses this money for the sustainable protection of rainforests. More than 50,000 people already use Forestle and we save many thousand square meters of rainforest every day.
Monthly reports about our donations
To make Forestle as transparent as possible, we publish monthly reports about our donations to The Nature Conservancy. Forestle went online in August 2008. So far we always managed to save even a bit more than the promised 0.1m² of rainforest.
The statistics and certificates of donations, which are published in the table below are audited by an employee of The Nature Conservancy.

Forestle.org (‘Forestle’) is a website owned and operated by CK Internet Services GbR (‘we’, ‘our’, ‘us’).

Collection and use of information
When you use Forestle, our servers automatically record information that your browser sends whenever you visit a website. These server logs may include information such as the URL, IP address, browser type and language, and the date and time of your request.
We use this information to monitor the use of Forestle (e.g. the numbers and frequency of visitors). We only use this data in aggregate. This collective data helps us determine how our audiences use parts of the site, so we can improve Forestle. We also need these data to determine the CO2 emission caused by your searches. The data can be accessed by our Partner CO2Stats.
Forestle does not require you to register for an account or provide any personal information to us.
When you send email or other communication to us, we may retain those communications in order to process your inquiries, respond to your requests and improve our services.
We will only use the personal information you have chosen to provide us for the purpose for which you provided it. We will not use it for any other purpose without your consent.
We will never give your personal information to anyone else except when required to do so by law.
